Terminate the SQL Server session by clicking the File/Exit drop-down menu or by clicking the X in the top right corner of the Query Analyzer window. The Microsoft SQL Query Analyzer is part of the client tools that come with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. It's designed to analyze the SQL queries that you or a program makes that allow you to obtain information from the SQL databases you manage. Since it is not part of the default installation, you must install it yourself before you can use it.
1.Insert the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition CD into your computer. Wait for the installation screen to appear on your computer.
2.Click 'Install Database Server' at the prompt that appears.
3.Click 'Next' through the prompts that appear until you get to the 'Computer Name' window. Click 'Local Computer' at that screen and click 'Next.'
4.Click 'Create a new instance of SQL Server, or install Client Tools' at the Installation Selection window, and click 'Next.'
5.Click 'Client Tools Only' at the 'Installation Definition' window.
6.Enter the CD key located on the back of the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition CD case when prompted.
7.Click 'Next' through the remaining prompts to finish installation.
