Kieffer Dressage Saddle Serial Number

Kieffer

Re the older saddle on consignment - if you can read the serial number, you can probably contact County and find out how old it is. They have contact info on their website County saddles are all made in England, so that is not a particular selling point of one County vs. The Tack Trunk is located in Spokane Valley, Washington on the eastern side of the state. Look under the flap for the name, country of origin, and any identifying serial number. These often are stamped on the sweat panel or under the leg flap near the girth straps. Common saddle brands are Crosby, Kieffer, and Steuben, but there are many others. I am trying to find out how old my Kieffer saddle is and their website was not at all useful. Anybody know what the serial number means on the saddle? It reads 1018D1. Email Kieffer with the serial number and photos. Mar 31, 2008  Kieffer serial number. This is a photo of the serial number of my Kieffer dressage saddle. 17 in kieffer dressage saddle, good condition for a used saddle. Measures 9cm d ring to d ring. This was a demo saddle and hard to find in this condition. See photos for showing condition, gullet size and serial number showing size 2; 18' seat. AU $1,243.52. From United States. AU $157.78 postage. Brand: Kieffer. Or Best Offer. OK, so based on serial number the lesser priced County that I am looking at is a 1989 model. Is a well-kept 24 year old dressage saddle likely to have some good years left on it? Does $675 sound like a decent price for a County Competitor of that age.or am I better off passing for a newer model? Thanks for any help.
